Used by all 22 of our TCSG Colleges, the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) can be used to simply reduce administrivia by posting announcements, syllabi or other documents. Or it can be used for self-paced, interactive learning through online discussions, assignments or quizzes.

COLLABORATE

All TCSG Blackboard courses and communities also have access to Collaborate, a web-based conferencing and collaboration tool. Key features include real-time chat and video conferencing, application and screen sharing, file upload, presentation and white board space and session recording. In addition to holding class meetings online, some faculty use Collaborate for office hours, inviting guest speakers (no need for a UMBC login) or creating student group study and collaboration “rooms” tied to a course.

QWICKLY

The intention of all Qwickly products is to ensure the focus remains on teaching and learning. With an ever-increasing interest on the development of new learning technologies, the goal of those technologies can become lost. With Qwickly, the goal of teaching and learning remains at the forefront.

QWICKLY JOT

Create assignments with diagrams, charts, maps and more for students to write on directly in Blackboard. Provide students with an array of interactive assignments covering various subject matter: block out scenes in a play on a blank stage, diagram the chemical bonds of a water molecule, and label the parts of an eye.
