Resources for You!

Career Services

At Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, we train students for entry-level employment, advancement, and lifelong learning, and then help students find suitable employment. The Career Services office is committed to assisting current and former students in finding meaningful work by providing job leads, job search skills, seminars, job fairs, and much more. While Career Services staff cannot guarantee jobs for students, representatives will gladly partner with students to help them experience success in their job search.

A Career Services representative is located in the Human Resources Offices on the Ben-Hill Irwin, Coffee, and Valdosta Campuses. A representative can also schedule appointments for Cook Campus, as well as make virtual appointments if needed. While walk-ins are welcome, to lessen possible wait times an appointment is encouraged. Career Services staff can assist Federal Workstudy information, Resume Reviews and Assistance,  Job Search Assistance, and Interview Assistance for both current and former students.

Services to Students with Disabilities

Special Populations assists students who are Single Parents, Displaced Homemakers, Economically Disadvantaged, in a program which is non-traditional for their gender, not native English speakers, or who suffer from a Physical or Mental Disability.

Students with Disabilities who wish to seek accommodations must submit documentation (IEP, 504 Plan, or Physician's Note) to the Office of Special Populations. Necessary documentation does not automatically transfer from High School or other colleges; students must self-disclose.

Students with documented disabilities may be eligible to receive reasonable accommodations to assist them in meeting their personal, educational and career goals. The Special Populations Coordinator is available to provide services for students with disabilities to help maximize each student's opportunity for success. Available services: Workshops, Connection Groups, Counseling Referrals
