Q. I cannot log in to Blackboard, but I can log in to my faculty email.
A. Your network password probably expired. You can reset it by going to westgatech.okta.com and selecting Need help signing in?. You will the select Forgot password?, enter your Username or Email, and choose your method for resetting your password. Very important: IT recommends waiting to log in to Blackboard or BannerWeb for up to one hour, to give time for the new password to sync.
Q. I cannot log in to Blackboard or my faculty email.
A. Only Information Technology can reset your network password. Please open an IT helpdesk request. Please notice the IT helpdesk site is only available from WGTC campuses.
Q. When I log in to BannerWeb I get logged out inmediately.
A. Your BannerWeb account is disabled. Open a Technical Support ticket and we will re-enable it for you.
Q. One of my students cannot log in to Blackboard.
A. Ask the student to use Chrome and to clear the cache using the instructions below. If after clearing the cache, the student still cannot log in to Blackboard, instruct the student to open a Technical Support ticket.
Q. I am having issues with my office computer, classroom computers, or printer.
A. In the daytime, contact the IT technical asssistant assigned to your campus. In the evening and nighttime, open an IT helpdesk request. Please notice the IT helpdesk site is only available from WGTC campus.
Q. I cannot log in to my KnightShare account.
A. Your username and password for KnightShare is the same as the one you use for your email. From outside any of the campuses, add westga\ to your username. If you still cannot log in, open an IT helpdesk request. Please notice the IT helpdesk site is only avalable from WGTC campus.
Q. I cannot log in to TEAMS.
A. The log in for TEAMS differs from your Single Sign-On credentials used for email, Blackboard, and BannerWeb. TEAMS passwords expire every 45 days. Recover your password by navigating to KMS.
Q. I need to clear my cache in Chrome.
A. The best way to clear your Chrome's cache is using the Advance option as follows
- Open Chrome on your computer
- Make sure your Chrome is up to date
- At the top right, click More
- Click More Tools > Clear browsing data
- Click the Advanced tab
- At the top, choose All Time
- Make sure the following boxes are selected:
- Download history
- Cookies and other site data
- Cached images and files
- Passwords and other sign-in data
- Autofill form data
- Click Clear data
- Close Chrome
- Restart Chrome
Q. I need to clear my cache in Firefox.
A. Here is how to clear Firefox cache:
- Open Firefox on your computer
- Make sure your Chrome is up to date
- Click the Library button
- Click History and click Clear Recent History….
- Next to Time range to clear, choose Everything from the drop-down menu
- Select Cache in the items list and make sure other items you want to keep are not selected
- Click the Clear Now button
- Close Firefox
- Restart Firefox
