CODE OF CONDUCT

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at the Georgia Fall Leadership Conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct as well as the participating colleges’ codes of conduct. Organizers will enforce these requirements throughout the event.

Our Conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, race, color, ethnicity, religion, or national origin. We do not tolerate the harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including anything communicated during or within the content of the conference, on social media, or any other online outlets. Conference participants violating these rules will be reported to their participating college, at the discretion of the organizers, and appropriate disciplinary and/or legal action will be taken against violators where applicable

We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everyone.  Be excellent to each other, show empathy, and help make this a safe space to explore tangible, equitable solutions.

DRESS CODE

Business casual attire is required for all General and Leadership sessions. Attendees wearing jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes, flip flops or other casual wear will not be allowed in these sessions.

RESPONSIBILITY

Personal Safety:

Please advise your delegation against venturing outside the hotel alone. We would also recommend they remove their name badges when leaving the hotel.

Disturbances:

Please ask attendees to be considerate and respectful of their roommates and other hotel guests by refraining from behavior that may disturb others. This includes, but is not limited to excessive noise, radios and TVs at high volumes. All student attendees must observe the designated curfew as established by their supervising advisor.

Damages & Responsibility:

The venue staff is always welcoming of GFLC attendees and we work hard to keep this reputation. In order to do that, we ask that conference attendees respect venue property at all times. Although any costs for damages will be charged to the responsible individual(s) and his/her parents/guardians if applicable, your local college is ultimately responsible for the fees incurred. In the case where an invoice for damages is not paid within 30 days, your college President and Vice President for Student Affairs will be contacted.

Replacement Badge Fee:

Please ask attendees to keep track of their conference name badge. There will be a replacement badge fee of $5.00 if a badge is lost.

Also remember, this is a state/school function; therefore, no alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are permitted at any time, regardless of age or status. Attendees who do not dress and/or behave appropriately will be asked to leave the activity and the primary advisor will be notified.
