Types of Courses
Albany Technical College (ATC) offers a wide array of courses which utilize Internet resources and are classified into the following three categories:
Online: An online course is taught using the Internet with the bulk of the course content, activities, and interactions occurring online. Online courses may require on-campus class attendance or proctored events.
Hybrid: Face-to-face time is reduced and supplemented with online activities.
Web-Enhanced: Class meets face-to-face for all required hours and the course website provides additional components and resources.
Albany Technical College uses Blackboard Learn v. 9.1, a learning management system (LMS) that you access on the Internet for online, hybrid, and web-enhanced classes. Blackboard Learn is sometimes just called "Blackboard" or "Bb Learn" or "BbL" for short.
