Access Blackboard Learn
To access Albany Tech's Blackboard website, go to:
http://albanytech.blackboard.com
Notice the address does not begin with www. Again, we strongly recommend that you bookmark or save the website to your favorites for easy access. Students may also access the Blackboard website from the Albany Tech homepage, click the Blackbaord icon located in the bottom right portion of the screen.
After clicking the Blackboard Login image, the "Sign in to your account" box will appear (image below), and you will enter your username and password.
Username and Password
Username: Your Single Sign On (SSO) username which is your unique email account name (example: jsmith31@albanytech.edu)
Password: Your initial password is your 8-digit date of birth in mmddyyyy format (example: May 2, 1990 = 05021990)
You are strongly encouraged to change your Blackboard password to something more secure. To change your Blackboard password, you will need to change your SSO password.
Change Your Password
NOTE: Changing your Single Sign On (SSO) password will change your Blackboard password, student e-mail password, BannerWeb password, and your myNavigate password at the same time. Please keep this in mind when changing your SSO password.
